Payment & Shipping
We are presently a mail-order business only, but if you should happen to be visiting or living in beautiful Albany, NY, feel free to contact us for an appointment to visit and browse our shelves, or pick up previously ordered books.
Ordering: To order books, copy and paste book listings into your preferred email program and send us a message, addressed to historyboox "at" yahoo.com ; or open this email window and copy and paste into it. Sometimes books sell before we update our website; therefore, please do not send any payment until we've replied to your order message. Shipping:
Local pickup in Albany, NY: Email us for an appointment. Payment must be in cash or prepaid.
Mailing rates to addresses in the USA: $4.00 for the first volume, $1 each additional volume. Rates may occasionally be adjusted up or down for very heavy or very light books. Postal insurance extra and optional; orders over $100 insured without additional charge.
Mailing rates to all other countries: Email us for a quote based on the weight of your item(s) and any special services (insurance, express delivery, etc). Large orders to other countries may be able to ship via air sack mail for between US$3 and US$5 per pound (about US$7 to US$11 per kilo).
Payment:
We accept personal or business checks (must clear before orders are shipped), cash (in US dollars, Canadian dollars, or Euros only), or PayPal/PayPal International. We are unable to accept credit or debit card payments except through PayPal.

International payments: PayPal strongly preferred; but we will accept international checks with a flat US$5 surcharge to cover processing fees. Please do not send any international payment before contacting us for special instructions!
Libraries, schools, and other institutions are usually invoiced with receipt of a purchase order.
